Having just worn my suit for the first time, I am thrilled with the end result. The attention to detail has been apparent from start to finish: from discussing various designs and fabrics to the last fittings. Adding distance to the mix (given that I live and work in Amsterdam) didn’t seem to phase Immy, who was happy to organise fittings around my hectic schedule. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a  suit to contact I J-Gilbert, who demonstrate a strong work ethic and manage to source fantastic fabrics to give any work suit a special touch. Five stars!

My new blazer from I J-Gilbert has been a great success. As I am not built in standard proportions the job must have been more challenging but Immy rose to it and with a good material, flash lining and anchor buttons I can appear at the rowing club with pride! Immy was totally professional and came to my home for fittings. Nothing was too much trouble and the final product was delivered in good time. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Working with Immy is a real joy, she is very quick to understand my requests and is also good at suggesting new ideas. Great fun from start to finish.

I wish I had just gone straight to Imogen rather than waste time trawling online and various shops. Immy came to meet me at a convenient spot and we discussed materials, styles, buttons and more until a vague idea of what I wanted was formed. Over the course of the following few weeks with Immy coming to me several times - at times to suit my schedule - for fittings and tinkering it took shape. The process was a lot of fun, liberating as I could choose whatever I wanted rather than prescribe to a shops limited selection, and hugely exciting. Not to mentioned easy and reasonably priced. When I buttoned up the waistcoat on my wedding day I was proud to put it on. Somehow being involved in the process and knowing the care taken to create exactly what I wanted had turned a garment into something far more significant.
